We will be hosting a varmint/predator hunt starting on Friday Dec.6 and ending Saturday Dec 7. With a bonus hog hunt pay out.

1. All payouts will be 50% for 1st place and 25% for 2nd place.
2. Entry fee is $200 for up to a 4 man team.
3. 25 entries or less 1-2 places. 26+ 1-3 places.
4. Team members must stay together during hunt.
5. You may not shoot out of the cab of a truck.
6. You may not shoot from or across a public road.
7. At least 1 member must be at the sign up. Full team must be at the final check-in.
8. No pooling of animals.
9. 4 wheelers and UTV's are allowed.
10. Eligible Varmints

Coyotes - 5 points
Bobcats - 4 points
Red Fox - 3 points
Gray Fox - 2 points with a 5 fox limit
Raccoon - 1 point with 5 raccoon limit
opossum - 1 point
11. All late arrivals to final check-in will be disqualified. If your full team in not at final check-in your team will be disqualified.
12. All animals must be harvested between 6am on Friday Dec. 6 and 5:00pm Saturday Dec 7, with check in by 6:00 pm at Lake Ray Roberts Sportsman Shop.
13. No trapping, snares, or baiting allowed.
14. You must call all animals with a mouth call or electronic call.
15. You cannot exchange animals with anyone else.
16. Teams must hunt together at all times.
17. HUNTERS MAY BE SUBJECT TO A POLYGRAPH TEST.
18. All team members must have a valid hunting license.
19. In case of a tie when you tag your last animal and record the time you tagged it and whoever killed their last animal will be declared the winner.
20. A side entry fee for hogs will be $50 for a 4 man team. 1 st place only for most hogs harvested. 80% pay out

How many points for a Mountain Lion or Black Panther?

Hmmm well if someone was to shoot either of those here in this area I'm pretty sure they would be an automatic winner. lol

I'm not real familiar with these varmint competitions, so can someone explain why there's a 5 animal limit on the raccoons and gray fox?

There is a five per animal limit on the coons and the fox due to on whatever area you are hunting you could stack the points real fast and make it an unfair challenge for the other hunters. There are way to many coons and foxes in the surrounding area to make it a free for all on them.
