Hello I have been planning an Aoudad hunt for the past two years and it was supposed to be for Oct 2 2013-Oct 6 2013. Unfortunately the guy I booked it with has absolutely screwed me and taking my deposit for the trip, cancelled the trip, and will not return the money. The money is a tragedy in and of itself but I really wanted this trip. Me and three buddies had booked it and now we are screwed. We have booked the airfare already and do not want to lose that as well. If anyone is offering an Aoudad hunt or knows of one for these dates please help me out!

Who was the outfitter?

Thank you guys for the help the number of anyone would be a great start to getting my hunt back on track. The outfitter is Bar-b-Diamond outfitters and at this point I can't say worse things about him. Really any help would be great I am still pretty much in shock at the whole thing because it has never happened to me personally.

"Outfitter"is Brandt Buchanan of BarBDiamond outfitters with a p.o. Box of Alpine Tx
He has now blocked me and one of my buddies on Facebook Page
Law Enforcement is aware of the situation and stated "he is playing with fire"
Fraudulently obtaining funds across state lines may be a federal offense
Have evidence he is claiming to still have dates available to other clients on the exact days he was suppose to guide us
Have singed contract with him and he has our $4500 deposit(grand theft)
It is truly a mess
Found all of this out last yesterday afternoon and out hunt is next Wed-Sun

I also booked two Elk hunts and got screwed with $2,000, Have contract, please let me know if there is something we can do?

As I stated on the other thread. He booked a hunt at my ranch sent his clients with a check from Brandt. Successful hunt with a very happy hunter. Then the check from Brandt bounced. It has been turned over to Edwards County Attorney and there is an arrest warrant out for him.

Karma is ginna bite this sob hard.

Lots of things can be done to this fellow, little positive direction is everlasting !

Hate to see this , hope he gets way more than coming to him!

Sorry to hear this and if your group changes there minds and dosent mind a high fence hunt there is plenty of guys on here including myself that would be more than happy to point you in the right direction and take care of you on those dates. Best of luck to you this season and hope this outfitter gets what he deserves.

Looks like his FB page is still up and running. Hate that for you and sure hate a crooked outfitter.

It is incomprehensible how he can continue to get away with this puts the fine TX hunting industry in a bad light, and continues to steal from clients and outfitters

Believe his website was closed Facebook page definitely up, but if anything negative posted gets deleted and blocked
Glad to hear there is a warrant for his arrest
He has a prior arrest for not tracking a wounded animal
Is he that difficult to find?
Communicates via cell phone which can be pinged and tracked
Have already contacted the authorities who are well aware of him and his tactics
I would think this should be highly publicized to protect other outfitters and clients?
Clearly something has to be done

If you mailed him a check it's mail fraud and already a federal offense. If you paid by PayPal you need to contact them. The person to contact is your local Postal Inspector.

Well shoot it looks like LEn deleted it because it violated the rules on complaint threads. That is kind of crappy. He should be happy people are posting reviews and keeping an eye out for shady deals. Basically, the guy that hunted there recently said he was taken to a ranch and they actually didn't have permission to be there so a Game Warden was called. The guide talked about here had bench warrants and was taken to jail. The rancher felt bad and took the guys to another ranch where he could hunt. Nice of the guy I thought. The poster was also overcharged and when he demanded a refund he was refused because according to the guide listed here " I don't have the money". Seems like someone you should avoid at all costs.
