We have some bobcats and coyotes on our lease that I'd like to try to call in. Does anybody have a recommendation for a good scope? I'm loking for a good value (obviously the less expensive the better). Our lease is pretty thick so I don't anticipate many long shots. Longest would be 150 yards or so. Thanks.

That's the one I use also, though I do have a Leupold 6.5-20 on my 220 Swift, and I really like that one also. But, my shooting ranges out to over 400 yards, so at 150 yards I'd stick with the 4.5-14. And...a good 3-9 would be all a fellow needed, and if you call the critters in real close, you'll only need the low end of the power range. Don't go too cheap on the scope, because a lot of my varmint hunting is in the early dawn and at dusk, and the real cheap scopes can be a bit dim at those times of day.

Well, to answer your question, the Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 will do a great job: http://swfa.com/Nikon-3-9x40-Buckmaster-Riflescope-P42205.aspx

....and the Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32 will to and it is on sale: http://swfa.com/Nikon-2-7x32-ProStaff-Riflescope-P48752.aspx

I have the little ProStaff 2-7 on a 10/22 at the moment, but it use to reside on a CZ 527 chambered in 7.62x39. That setup has been in the woods several times at the break of dawn, and it was fairly bright with the little 32mm objective. I would have no problem recommending that little gem for anything inside 200m.
