I need to know if Lead is OK for hunting crane. I need to know the appropriate size for crane. I used lead #2s the last time I hunted geese. (It's been a while)

It has been a long time since I killed a crane, and I have only killed 2, but the first was with Remington Express with #4 shot, and the second was with #2. I think depending on where you were hunting, and the distance your shooting you might want #4 for your first shot followed by #2 for the next shot as they are leaving, if they ain't on the ground dead. If you are going to be hunting somewhere where you might be getting shots at geese or duck, you can't have any shells with lead shot on you or in your shell pouch. As long as you are hunting cranes only, you can still use lead on them.
