Has anyone heard about a new law that in counties were you can only take a doe during bow season, that now if you take one during bow you can also take one during gun season. But if you did not take one during bow season the rules are still the same as ever.

Shoot low! They're riding shetlands.

Check the county(s) in the Outdoor Annual you are hunting in to be sure.

I know in Hopkins county we are now allowed to rifle hunt does for three days after Thanksgiving. It does not matter what was killed prior. You might check the doe rules in your county again.

It is not a new law but some counties regulations have changed. For example, in Kent County, you could only take a doe without a permit from bow season to Thanksgiving. Now you can take one (actually 2) the whole season and not need a permit at all after Thanksgiving.
