I put out a THF special at the beginning of the year and had a huge response. I figured I would try something new.

NEW THF DEAL

Book a hog hunt for non-refundable $75 fee.
You pay .75 cents a pound on all harvested pigs with the original $75 being applied to that poundage fee.

Example - $75 to book a hunt. You shoot (1) 200lb sow = total fee $150 (the $75 booking fee is applied to the $150 so you owe an additional $75)

If you don't pull the trigger, the $75 is rolled over to a future hunt.

We are only booking a few hunts between now and September.

I got tons of game cam pics I can send if interested.

Thanks,

Jeff

WHAT HE SAID!

Took a look at your website- liked it.
More questions: size limits (I want meat hogs <100# or so)? Do you hunt in January or February w/ nite vision?

Yes sir. Multiple pigs is the same deal.... .75 cents per pound. (2) 125lb pigs = 250lbs x .75 = $187.50 total due.

For multiple pigs while stand hunting you either need to be a good shot (they typically scatter after that 1st shot) or be real patient and hope they show back up at feeder. We've had several folks pop 2 at a feeder and a couple get 3 this year.

The opportunities are a different for the spot and stalk hunts using night vision. We are moving throughout the night looking for them.

We hunt February - September.

Jeff

I'll update the website tomorrow with more details. Wounded animals, pound questions and such.

My goal isn't to do a lot of hunts... quality not quantity is what we are after. I've booked a few hunts where I was given a combo to a gate and a map (not that there's any thing wrong with that) just not the way we operate. We are probably too involved and likely a little annoying. I really enjoy taking folks out and trying to get them on pigs.

When is a good time to call?

I'm a teacher, so I have the next couple of weeks off. I would like to see if I could get in a trip or two before school.

pft there are to many places out there $150 - $200 flate rate includes cabin unlimited hogs. I hate outfitters that treat it like hogs are rare and charge by the pound.

I believe there's a rule against calling an outfitter out regarding their business practices.

Thanks for the bump though.

I guess some people rather spend $150-$200 a day and take a chance on getting nothing. That would be $200 for camping. sleep2

This deal is based on you being 100% successful. Can't be any more fair than this offer. flag

To each their own.

I live about 30 minutes from Canton. I'll head their way when it gets a little cooler. Us old hogs sweat.

upThat's class...in the face of .... well... let's just say "not-class". I previously read your pricing structure and thought it was a great way to work it out.

FWIW, I've hunted with Elkaholic and was very well satisfied. I consider his price very reasonable for the **value** received. Unlike a number that I've hunted with, he had done his homework and was quite dialed in. Nothing fancy, but everything was in order.

Well folks,

Last night I drove out to canton and hunted with Elkaholic. Just like he said. I have no qualms. Very pleased with the results. Shot a 160lb sow (before gutting). He even helped me get to the processor since I was new to the area.

Yep, I'm happy. I will be returning, and sharing this info with friends.

Wow so wait you sould emphsize the 100% gaurentee. Actualy that does not sound so bad. I am completly wrong in my previous statment. I am often wrong and do jump to conclusions fast but after having you guys give me a detaild breakdown it really does make better sense. Can you please explaine the entire process as far as time you arive till the time you leave? as I have been on one guided hunt that was far a weekend $400. I shot a 150 pound hog.

I'll give you an idea on stand hunts since that is what the thread was about. We are booking weekend only hunts for another month or so. I book 2 hunts maximum per weekend. We have 12 setups on approximately 3000 acres (5 seperate tracts of land). We can rotate and rest setups this way... I don't over hunt our setups. We take a break during deer season. Once a date is set, we'll meet the hunter at the designated meeting spot in Canton. The majority of the stand hunts are during the night. A little paperwork is required. We then review the setup with the hunter (game cam pics, patterns, game trails). We stay close and help the hunter with tracking/loading the harvested animal. We deliver to the cleaning station. We can help with cleaning if needed and coordinate with a local processor and/or taxidermist if that is needed.

As far as the post someone wrote about this is based on the hunter being 100% successful.... I assume they were referencing that the $75 hunt fee would roll over if the hunter didn't have a harvest opportunity. If so, I agree with their post.

I never advertise hunts being 100% guarantee and would definitely be skeptical about anyone who does advertise a "free range" hunt being 100% guarantee. I, like a lot of folks, have been burned a couple times by outfitters. I figure most folks, like me, work hard for their money and I want to give them the best opportunity for success for the best value that I can.

I do this because I love it. It gets me outdoors more, let's me meet some really good people and hopefully I get to help other hunters meet a hunting goal or 2. I'm blessed to have a great full time job. I just wish that great full-time job was guiding Elk hunts up in the mountains of Colorado.

Let me know if you have any additional questions and thanks for your interest.

Jeff

Went out last weekend and took a 120lb sow with my dad. First time either of us had hunted hog and we had a great time. I must have been confused on the pricing because I thought it was straight .75 a pound, it's actually .75 a pound plus $75. Still wasn't a bad deal and we had fun. Thanks Jeff.
