Looking to buy a layout blind, just wanted to know which ones have backpack style carry straps instead of the single over the shoulder style.

I've got a Cabelas northern flight ultimate and it has the backpack straps your looking for. They usually go on sale in December sometime

I have the Cabelas as well and really like mine. It snaps together and makes it easy to get up and ready. I have some hunting buddies with the RedHead Deluxe and the pins are a pain in the rear.

I love mine and know of at least 5 guys that I hunt with who also own one. My only complaint is the location of the cup holder, if that can even be considered a legitimate complaint. Add a few pounds of grass and it will disappear in a field edge or fence row.

Cabelas always has a good sale right before the season. It just before big duck season. Last year I got a couple Northern Flight Mobile layouts for $100 each (almost half off). They are excellent buys for that price. Perfect for what we needed, easy to set up and take down ... literally in a couple seconds. No bars to clip together. All straps and two slide out bars like a lawn chair. We throw them around on the boat. They fold up really tight and the backpack straps on them are great. Couldn't be happier.

Okay good to know, sounds like the cabelas ones are a good choice

Now looking on cabelas website there are different models of the northern flight, do they all have the backpack straps?

No layout blind is best for all situations. Things to consider:

* Weight of blind. Northern flight for example, the ultimate weighs 17 lbs, and the mobile 1 weighs 9.5 lbs. If you have a long walk, that makes a big difference. I have a power hunter weighs 11 lbs, and a ground force weighs 17 lbs, if it is a long walk no way I’m carrying my 17 lb blind, I would rather carry more deeks etc.. If you hunt private, not much of an issue. If you got a little standing water, the ultimate would be great as it is water proof up to 10 inches.

* Ease of set-up. My power hunter and ground force both easy to set up. Makes a big difference when setting up in the dark. But if you hunt private and haul your blind around already together, not an issue.

* Lower profile blind will allow you to hide better when there is little or no cover, what you give up is comfort and also harder on your back. My power hunter is low profile, great for long walks in and when there is little cover. My ground force is heavier, higher profile but more comfort.

* Room in your blind is nice, the down side is more weight and normally more cost.

* Doors, I like my power hunter and the dome top, you have better 360 visibility I think, and also you can crack the door open like the pic below for good visibility..

Ground force doors are nice as well, you can poke your head out the top like the pic below ..

Love my Rogers Goosebuster. Got the full, not lp version. They had a deal that comes with the snow cover and raffia grass for about 180.00 shipped, i think....have 3 of them.
