my husband and I are interested in finding a quality vizsla puppy for hunting and as a house dog. we would like a dog that has a teachable and sweet personality and is a natural hunter. i've been looking online for good breeders but thought i'd post here to get more suggestions on where to look. we'd prefer to find a texas breeder since we live in central texas. any suggestions would be so helpful!

Mostly depends on mother nature, mama dog dictates the timing, if you know what I mean.

Stearno, DoubleB20's dogs are great! I have one and she has an amazing nose, a huge prey drive, and has a very teachable personality. My problem is I have been wanting to get her to a trainer for a while, but my kids and wife won't let me send her, they would miss her too much No Joke. Seriously, she loves the field and will stand by the door ready to roll when I get my camo pants on, and she loves the family just as much. If you do get a red dog, be ready for some surprises though, rabbits, snakes, etc...they have prey drive for just about anything that moves.

Also Huntmore Vizslas up here in Dallas. Super nice people. My Vizsla Blaze shares some blood with a couple Huntmore dogs. Ruger, brother to my Blaze, and their Tanner is out of Ruger. If I were looking recently I would have been looking hard at their Tanner/Colt breeding.
