I am not sure if this is the right place to post or not (if not please move it for me).
Our volunteer fire dept., Perrin, in Jack County, will be having a turkey shoot on Nov. 15th from 8AM - 5PM or when we run out of turkeys. This is .22 caliber only and the ammo (shorts) will be supplied. IRON SIGHTS ONLY - NO OPTICS.
For $2 you get three shots at a paper target against 11 other shooters. Your score is added up and compared to the other 11. Highest score takes the frozen turkey. You can enter as many rounds as you would like. There will be two classes, rifle and pistol.
We will also have chopped barbecue sandwiches, chips and a drink for $5 so you can stay and shoot all day .
There is also raffle for a NIB .22 Henry Golden Boy. Raffle tickets are a $1 for the gun. You need not be present to win, but you will need to come pick it up and complete some paperwork.
I realize this is a long way from now, but wanted to get the word out so we can have as many people as possible. As all of you guys have heard before, volunteer departments get most of their funding through donations and events such as this.
