I am the huntmaster for a TYHP sponsored youth hunt at JBS wetland center Oct 26-28. This is probably one of the best wetland areas in north Texas and the JBS family has been kind enouth to allow TYHP to return for the 4th annual duck hunt. First class guides/retrievers/decoys provided, lots of skeet shooting. If you know of any yourth between 9-17 that know how to hold a shotgun, let them know. GREAT group of Kids, adults and one fantastic place to hunt!

If you know of any kids that don't get the opportunity to get out in the outdoors often, neighbor kid or what not, this is a GREAT place to get them HOOKED on the outdoors!

What you are doing is good, but why would you charge a kid to come out to hunt for a youth only event that is put on by volunteers?

this is a small fee that covers both guardian and youth hunter. The program is non for profit but we still must break even. It covers all food, drinks, supplies and most important, liability insurance for landowner....without this landowners may not participate year after year. attend a hunt or get involved with TYHP and you will more fully understand the concept....donations to TYHP also welcome!

This is a great hunt with a great organization. JBS (John Bunker Sands) wetland center is a very cool place and I always try to make it a point to help with this hunt.

This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit and hunt at a place that holds thousands of ducks, and a perfect place to get kids and adults hooked with waterfowl hunting.

Texas Youth Hunting Program (TYHP is a branch from the Texas Wildlife Association) they mostly do deer hunts, and worth checking out even if the youth can't make this weekend they have hundreds of other opportunities.

Love youth season. By far may favorite season. I'll be taking my son and his buddy out this year who has been with us 3 years now, he never bird hunted befor we started taking him, and he loves it. My son has 3 other buddies as well that want to hunt, I'm gonna try and figure out a way to get them out there this season.

The second pic that Tx Pride posted up are my boys a couple of years ago. The entire setup is 1st class and very family oriented. It is quite an experience to see the number of ducks as the first shots are fired. I would highly encourage anyone with kids in this age group to take advantage of this hunt. The hunt master and the guides are top notch.

That looks like a lot of fun. My daughter was going to sign up for that one but she already got picked for the upland hunt the same weekend.
