On the way home from my trip to 3FB. Place is nice, weather sucked, WTs are too skinny. We accidentally got a spike and had to pay $500. I got a fallow doe and a hog. Will post pics later. I like the place, but don't know if I'll be going again

Oh and BTW, Ben and Ryan are great guys

Those WT that you say are too skinny are younger healthy deer that havent fattened up yet as they do the same at our ranch down the road, and how do you accidentaly get a spike ???? your bow hunting so your pretty close and should not have any problems seeing what gender the animal is. If your not sure you should not shoot IMO. Glad you had fun Ben and Ryan are good friends of mine and will take care of you for sure. Looking forward to all the pics.

I never said you did say anything bad about them all I said was they will take care of you good as in they put you on the deer and make sure you have a good time, I guess we can drop the spike issue if you tell me if it was one of those TOO SKINNY WT you speak of or a exoic and Im curious if it was a spike or 3 point and would love to see all the pics and I mean ALL.

Well, the spike that he shot was probably the fattest that came in this morning. Posting pics now. and WT spke. well, there was another point but it was less than an inch so technically doesnt count (according to TPWD book)

That's ALL the pics. This one looked too young to me but my uncle shot it and it will taste good hopefully. Dont kill me, God's gonna do that eventually anyway.

Ok first of congrats young man, honestly it is great seeing you in the woods instead of causing trouble or geting into some BS. On the second note when you have said many times on here that you all were going on a DOE hunt why did he shoot a spike like this on accident ??????? Just trying to get the story here as we all know how Bens prices are very clear and that deer is for sure a obvious BUCK and no where close to antlerless. Per TPWD book your correct but do you really think this deer would stay a spike. Congrats again

PS - Bucks are going to be bigger than does everytime even the young bucks, but when the does have been feeding fawns all summer and just now geting them off them theyre going to be skinny and will fatten up with some time.

Yeah ok. i get you. My uncle got confused and thought that spike was on the menu same as doe(usually is at most places)because we were talking about bag limits etc the night before and the doe were real skinny and he felt bad for them so he didnt shoot them. Yeah, i know. Funny logic right? Well, not me, so let'st get over it and be friends, how bout it?

Oh and thanks!!!!!!!

OH.........................thanks for explaining. I didn't even realize that they had fawns. I am stupid sometimes(SOMETIMES)

Thanks for clarifying sooooooooooooooooo much. And dont forget that the sheep, goats, sika, fallow, and hogs that compete with the WT. There were 3 fallow bucks that kept on scaring away the WT does and spikes and the WTs kept on scaring away this choco fallow doe.

Fallows are one of the most agressive exotics out there and will always run other animals away from feeders! That's why lots of places don't have fallow. Congrats of the critters and good shooting to the kid!!

Oh and another FYI, chital means axis deer and shikari means hunter. Please don't call me axis deer.
If it pains you so much to right "chital_shikari" then just right shikari, please. Don't insult me
