I decided to try the vault timer system for my feeders this year. I did exactly what ththesis to do, solar panel and rechargeable panel? The batteries lasted two weeks and are completely dead. Just curious if anyone has had this same problem.

We have two of them and one had a problem and quit dropping when it was time to spin. We took it back and got another one. Both are doing fine now going off twice a day. I did notice that they draw a lot of power. I made sure to charge my battery fully and have the solar panel pointed correctly. I have had no problems with them batteries yet.

Thanks for the info. Come to find out the solar panel sends negative charge right now. Primos said try reversing the wires from the solar panel to the battery and see what happens. I won't be back until next weekend to play with this some more, but will be able to look at it then.

So far mine have done well.
