Used a soldering iron. Love the texture. This is my daily duty carry weapon. I like the fact that it doesn't matter what the conditions are, I'll keep a solid grip on it. I used a round tip. You could try a pointed or smaller tip for smaller, finer texture.

Being a daily cary, how hard is it to keep the stippling clean? Or does it even get that dirty?

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

I did it to my Shield and M&P. Took both pistols to the range yesterday and there was a vast improvement. I highly recommend this process.

I bought an $18 soldering iron kit from Home Depot and used the tip it came with. Very easy to do, just practice with an old AR grip to get a feel for it.

It's not hard to keep clean. Really doesn't get that dirty. If it does just blow it out with compressed air.

Very carefully. grin

First I did a grip reduction on both then stippled with soldering iron with a small flat tip. It took me a while.
