Big Bend Ranch State Park will host the first in a series of photography tours Feb. 24-26 that involves participants camping out with camera in tow in some of the sprawling West Texas park’s most rugged, remote and scenic locations. Park volunteer Gary Nored, a former teacher and accomplished photographer, will lead the tour. There are no classroom activities, but Nored will share his professional advice during two days of uninterrupted photography. The tour price is $350, which includes one night’s lodging at the park’s Bunkhouse, one night of camping, all meals and transportation. Call (432) 358-4444 make a reservation. Is the camping gear provided, or do we bring our own?

No way would I raft at flood stage. The rock piles got us at low flow. Bet you missed all the big washed out cave at Flood stage? Did you go to the Hot Spring water pits on the Mexico side?
Wished I could make the camping photo trip but can't.
