I've seen a couple of guys refer them but I was wondering how good they are. I am wanting to put a new scope on my 223.

I run one on my custom AR-15. It's the SS 3-9 FFP HD scope. I like so far. I've dial out for some shots, and checked the accuracy of the adjustments, and they track right on. SWFA put a lot of certificates for these scopes in our goodie bags at the SH Cup and Bash, and a lot of shooters ordered these scopes. I have heard good things about them, and no negatives. For the price, it's not a bad scope at all. I'll keep running mine.

we had a 16x fixed power one on a .223 ant it worked well.

they get a lot of good reviews but I was not impressed at all with them. For the price they might be ok but just depends what type of shooting you are going to do with the scope.
