One of my "knock 'em out" favorites for just about any opening weekend cookouts. It goes great with just about anything bacon wrapped!

Chop about 4 lbs of red taters and 2 lbs yellow onions. Place them in a 1/2 sheets aluminum pan. Season the top of them with some Tony's or seasonsalt, black pepper and garlic powder. Add one large can cream of mushroom soup and one stick of butter on top. Cover tightly with foil.

Cook on closed barbecue pit for 1 hour at fairly high heat (>400 on mine). Remove from heat, stirr the ingredients together well. Add your favorite grated cheese and recover with foil. Let set for 5-10 minutes to melt the cheese.
Serve and see who fights over seconds.
This is a very simple recipe but it's always a hit to add to what ever your favorite meat turns out to be.

Glad you liked it! I made some last Saturday evening while we dove hunted. My buddy was skeptical about the cream of mushroom soup but then he was the one that ate dang near the whole pan by himself.
What I like to do is go ahead and make them at home before I go on a fishing/hunting trip. I just keep it cold and cook it when I need to.

This is great with scrambled eggs. I have also added eckerish smoked sausage.

I'm going to have to try this. I can't do mushrooms so I think I'll try Cream of Chicken. Sounds good!

Dove season opener coming up. Made this today, used Campbells canned fiesta nacho cheese instead of cream soup. Little on the cheesy side but still pretty good.
