Has anyone tried the Rage 2 blade broadheads? I shot a deer yesterday with with one and I had some problems with it. The arrow did not penatrate very well,Only about 8 inches at 15 yards.. I shoot a 70 pound bow "mathews switchback" so I know that wasnt the issue. I had a very poor blood trail to follow and I never found the deer, My shot placement was on the money. Just wondering if anyone else had any issues.

I have shot the rage for 2 years and have never had an issue. The only problem I have is finding my arrow after it blows thought the animal.

I shot a doe this weekend with a Rage 2 blade. Didn't get a pass thru on a 20 yard shot. Ended up loosing the doe. I WILL NOT BE USING THEM EVER AGAIN.

I tried the rage 2 and 3 blade on targets and they are JUNK. I would never use them on an animal. Sorry you had to learn the hard way. Throw the others in the trash.

That stinks. I have only seen success with them so far with our hunters this year. All pass thru in the ranges from 15 to 35 yards.
Maybe you didn't hit where you think you did. That happens a lot. If you hit it good in the boiler room, than that deer didn't go too far and you would find it. Go out there today and if its dead you should find buzzards on it. If its not dead yet, you didn't hit where you think you did.

I am amazed by the postings. I have shot them the last 2 years and will continue to do so. I like finding the animals I shot. This weekend one on my friends on the lease shot a damn good buck with a slick trick at about 10 yards and did not get a pass though. We also did not recover the buck yet. So I guess all of those people that have killed deer with slick tricks have just been lucky? The ONLY problem with rage's is that you need to make sure the tips are locked down in the O-ring when you nock them. The can get knocked lose in the quiver. Other then that they are great. If no one else wants to use them then great it just leaves that many more for me.

I would try to throw a rock at a deer before I would use the rage 2 broadheads ever again. Reminds me of Charmin extra soft toilet paper. That's about what they are good for, T.P.

I dont really care for them too much. My buddy uses them and seems like they are just too hard to expand when you have one in your hand and try to oush the blades back. He hasnt really had any problems with them, but they just dont look very efficent in my opionon.

THANKS FOR THE INPUT GUYS. I've bow hunted for many years and this is the first deer I have ever lost, One deer lost is one to many for me, I think I will go back to my old trusty fixed blade broadheads. THANKS AGAIN.

I think you need to check your range finder because theres no way you got a pass tru on an 80yd shoot with those piece of sh@# broadheads.
