We have a ranch in central Texas out around Comfort which is right by Fredericksburg. We've had it for almost 20 years now and have never seen a hog. It's pretty rocky but there's plenty of water for them and plenty of brush cover as well. This might sound crazy but personally I would like to see some out there to hunt. I know for a fact that they are in the region so I've been trying to attract some over our way. I used water, grape cool aid powder, beer, and corn all in a 5 gallon bucket. I've only been doing this a few days but does anyone have any suggestions of what else I can do to draw them over?

Corn alone is all you need.
I filled up a feeder that had been empty for weeks friday morning. At 2am saturday morning the hogs had found it. If you have hogs, they will find the hogs....probably at night.

I use corn and sweet feed mixed together it works great. Big Red and corn works well to, bury it in the ground and watch what happens!!
Anyone can own a fancy gun but can you shoot it ?

Corn and Jello work great, but all you need is corn, that is plenty of an attractant. However, it will also attract others, deer, raccoons, opossums, and ect, that's why some guys use diesel, but I drive a diesel and @ $4.09 a gallon, I don't waste anymore, miss the high school days when it was $0.52 gallon, but those days are far gone. I think your in great shape. Pigs have poor vision, but the sense of smell and hearing are second to none, patience is a virtue, and I think you'll find it will pay off.

Forget all those "attractants" if you really want hogs on your ranch. Buy 5 or 6 sows and 2 boars and let em run loose. You'll have more than you can contain in a year.
Then all you need is a handful of corn and they will be in your lap.

I heard about a new one, soured buttermilk and coffee grounds mixed in with corn. Hadn't tried it though, my attractants are all for same day hunts in populated lands.

If you don't want to bring them in on a trailer....
Buy some strawberry soda at dollar general 2 liter (80 cents) and dump some bags of corn out and dump the soda on it. Works great for me, but there are tons of hogs within a couple hundred yards of where I hunt.

Maybe just me but if you do not have the critters there, why would you want to bring them in. Yes they are fun to shoot but they do way more damage than it is fun to shoot. Just go to where they are and shoot them there. Why try to bring destrustive animals on your property?

I wasn't seeing any evidence of hogs after leaving out corn for several weeks out at my family's place in East TX. I mixed a gallon of milk with a can of the pre-sweetened grape cool-aid, a bunch of bananas, and corn into a 5 gallon bucket. Let that sit for about 10 days. Dumped it out last week, and now my uncle says that hogs have torn up the back pasture where I dumped this mixture. He and Grandma aren't real happy with me right now. Hoping the wife will "let" me head out there this weekend to mow em down!
