Has anyone dealt with Mike Hopkins he leases land around Parker County? I heard a rumor that heis a dead beat that stiffs hunters. I heard he had a 600 ac lease in Parker Co 7900/a gun four gun mon. Just wondering if anyone has had the pleasure of dealing with this guy?

I've tried to use him in the past. Everything he had was way overpriced and overgunned for the area. But as we've seen in the past, some guys either have too much money or not enough sense.

Is that $1975 per gun for a total of 4 guns at $7900? I would deal directly with the landowner and take the middle money maker out. IMO

We tried dealing with him last year. Very pushy. Very jerkish. Didn't want to give us time to think about a lease. Over priced and all he cares about is himself. ( we did not go through with dealing with him) after he knew we were going to look at a lease and without any questions invited 2 other groups out to look at the property.

Unfortunately dealing with the land owner directly is not always an option. Most of these guys get contracts in place before they ever list them.

I wanted to go look at a couple of the places he had around Denton county a couple years ago but he would never return my call. I moved on thankfully. All of his listings are too high and he packs WAY too many guns onto small pieces of property.

I have never leased from him, but I am shocked at the responses. I went to school with his son and Mike coached a few of my teams when I was younger. He was always a good guy.

Have to admit, it is sad to read some of these posts.

Mike Hopkins is he worst individual that I have ever meet, he is bully he can't communicate, the worst business man I know. Please if you know what your doing don't do business with him I wish I saw these postings before I did.

Um, do you get mineral rights at that price?
