I could care less... I think people get all butt hurt bc they cant afford to hunt a high fence and kill a 180 class animal. Im in this group. I keep wishing and a hoping that a 150s will walk out in front of me. Id die a happy man. Who cares if the fense is 4 ft tall or 8 not me.

Our 280 acre lease is now high fenced on two sides. One place that is high fenced is 400 acres. Not sure how much hunting they have to do. More like walking out of the house and picking an animal. The other high fence place is 2500 acres. I have to say that I am certainly jealous, but they have the money to high fence. so who am I to get pissed because they have done this.
My question is how in the heck would you ever out law high fences? That would kind of be like saying you can't put up a privacy fence in your yard in the city..

Many horses have already been severely injured and killed in this beating. I see no need in anymore avoidable deaths.

Not no but heck no! No way to do it. In fact they need not worry about banning them and start building a real good one along the Rio grande

unless they tell you what to do with your property I dont think you should have any say in what someone does with theirs. maybe they have really wild cows and want to keep them in lol. i would not want to hunt under a high fence but as far as someone owning one doesnt bother me at all, its their property not mine.

rstewlandman i agree with the rio fence. LOL The reason for the poll is I read an article about this in a hunting magazine the other day and read what some people were saying and just wanted to see what ya'll thought. Please nobody get butt hurt. LOL. I personally dont like the idea of trapping a wild animal. But if i was neighbored next to a real arse of a guy (meaning they hunted illegaly, trespassed a lot, shot bambis, etc I would put up a high fence. Ive been on buddies high fence places and I just get a more satisfaction taking a really nice buck that has the chance to travel and be free. Not bashing guys with highfences so plz dont take it that way. Thx guys.

wildlife is a natural renewable resource such as a creek or stream and should not be confined. Its against the law to damn a creek or river, high fence is nothing more than a damn and should not be allowed, unless all native wildlife are removed, before fence is put up but even then I still think it hinders natural wildlife movement so its still a damn. High fences shouldnt be allowed.

I know several ranches that dam creeks and rivers, with proper permiting its perfectly legal. just like highfenceing a ranch, you can take a shallow creek devoid of anything bigger than a shiner and make it a wildlife haven. Highfencing should't be a legal issue, its a moral issue.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

While I don't agree with high fences, I also don't agree that anyone should be able to dictate what you someone can or can't do with their own property. Kinda like AR's.

Funny story I heard a couple years ago...a guy's neighbor put up a high fence but it had an odd dip away from his property in it. He pondered the gap in the fence for quite sometime until curiosity got the better of him...he did a little snooping and found that the 100 yard v cut back onto the neighboring property ended with a dirt hump built up to the fence on the outside. On the inside, adjacent to the hump was a half acre pen with several does in it...see where we're going here? Doe comes in heat, buck comes a callin', jumps into the fence via the dirt hump and can't jump back out...like a very clever minnow trap... Needless to say, the guy was a little pissy...
