LOL... I did the same thing last year. Made it where it could break down and put in a back pack. Worked pretty good.

Now, does that stay assembled or can you rig it once on site?
Looks good by the way, and has just given me a fun project to work on.

Looks good by the way, and has just given me a fun project to work on. the branches are glued together and so is the main pvc pipe. so i disassembled where you have 4 branches and the main pvc pipe. then I'll put it together when i get out there.

One question though; was it cheaper to make or buy? That's like 25 bucks worth of PVC and maybe 10 bucks worth of paint...I'd say cheaper to make. Don't they retail for around 65?

looks like 3/4 for the main and 1/2 for the branches? how tall is yours? it's 1 for main and 1/2 for the branches. it's around 8 ft. to get it to stay in the ground i used a one inch adapter attached to about another foot of pvc pipe. i would beat that into the ground then i would put the dove tree in it. I'm gonna go get so rebar pretty soon and start using that just in case the grounds to hard out in the field.

ok so i just built me one this morning things were slow. so what i did was this. took 1 inch for the "trunk" and 1/2 for the branches. i made it to separate into about 2' pieces so itll fit in a bag. the branches are all glued together and the t's for them to attach to tree are glued to the 1" to get mine to stay up i took a 1 1/4 inch 4way and drilled an 1 1/8 hole through. slide my 1" main therough and screwed to stay in place. tapered the end with a sawzall and the 4 way will have 2' pieces of 1 1/4 to give stability. 30 bucks out the door. ill be painting it later
