Texas Parks workshop

MIDLAND Landowners and dove hunters are encouraged to attend a special workshop at the Sibley Nature Center.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department have scheduled a free dove management workshop for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 13 at 1307 E. Wadley Ave.

Executive Director of the Sibley Nature Center Burr Williams and Larry Cook of Midland have partnered to present the workshop. The program will focus on dove biology, current research and managing hunting areas.

In the morning, the group will travel to a local property for a field tour. After breaking for lunch, the workshop will re-convene at the Sibley Nature Center at 1:30 p.m. for presentations on research and management.
