Any one able to shed some light on the difference between these two rifles would be greatly appreciated. Are the barrels between the two enterchangeable?

THE ARE BASICLLY THE SAME GUN. I SPOKE WITH TC AND THEY SAID THE ENCORE WILL FIT THE PRO HUNTER AND I THINK VICE VERSA. U CAN CALL THEM AND ASK TO BE SURE.

I think (and don't hold me to it) that the prohunter is a little better sealed off (all purpose/all weather) rifle and the encore is standard. Honestly I don't think there is much of a difference..kind of like the REM SPS SS and the REM XCR.

I am using ProHunter muzzleloader barrels and stocks my "standard" Encore frames.

From what I know, the real difference is in the frame. The Prohunter frame has fancy engraving and a swing out hammer.

It seems to me like just something that T/C can charge more for without adding any real "value" to the product.

yup only functional diffrence is the swing hammer I think

All pro hunter barrels are fluted and 28" length I do believe. I have the prohunter and love it.
