I'd like to hear from the more educated & diehard bowhunters out there and find out what the great hunting bows are. Just bought a BOWTECH - Allegiance 2007. I was amazed how it felt and performed over some others. What do you think? What are your thoughts? Thank you- Jerry Shinn President GrandeBass LLC www.grandebass.com

BOWTECH is a great bow........I looked at the when I went to purchase my last bow. But for me I wouldn't trade anything for my Mathews Switchback XT. Fast smooth quiet. I have only taken a rifle out once this season and that was so a buddy of mines son could hunt with me. If I was to go on a hunt where I knew I had a chance at a 160+ buck. No choice........rifle would stay at home and the Switchback would be in the stand with me. I have that much confidence in that bow.

I'm sure the Bowtech will do a great job for you but I agree with Ted. My Mathews LX is smooth, quiet and fast. Still waiting for big boy but have taken a 'coon, 'yote and doe so far this year,

I really like my Mathews LX but most of the top end bows are great. It is just a matter of personal preferrence.

I dont chime in very often but it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Some bows are very forgiving and some are super fast but require a disciplined shooter to be successful. (these bows are typically used for tournament type shoots) I've learned the hard way, you can spend a lot of money on bows but with todays technology, patents have run out and some of the cheaper priced bows shoot extremely well because they have been able to copy the leaders ideas. I personally shoot Mathews but have had my butt kicked in tournaments by everthing from Bowtech to Bear. You can be a shooter with any bow as long as you learn to shoot that particular bow exceptionally well. My best advice is pick one and stick to it.
Good Luck
