Texas Best Chili mix, 2 cans tomato sauce, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 whole white onion diced cooked with the meat and 3 lbs of venison chili meat.

I am different. I put the meat, onions, salt and pepper, and chili meat in a pan and cook it all together. Then add the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes and simmer about 3 hours. If I was cooking for just me I would only add 1 can of tomato sauce to make it more spicy, but the wife likes it toned down.

C'mon with it! Looking good.

I've been fishing in the Gulf all weekend and could sure use a bowl of that right now.

Cooking 4 lbs tomorrow,I use Wick Fowler's and add 1 can Rotel Habanero per 2 lbs and 1 can chopped tomatoes. The Rotel spices it up just right for me and adds to the flavor. Freeze it in freezer bags and will last a while.

Back when I was hunting, Dad and I would make 25 lbs of chili using Morton's Chili Blend. Don't know if they still make it. Talked to a guy at Morton's to ask him about Morton's Chili mix. Said he never heard of it. I said it's got Morton's Chili Blend all over the package. Must have been a new guy.
