I have always thought they looked cool but how often are the used? I was looking at outfitting my mule pro FXT with Ranch Armor gear and am debating on the seat.

Unless you plan on hunting out of it I wouldn’t. I put one on my Mule and I’ll bet it was only used 2 times. Boys wouldn’t ride up there because we have too many limbs to dodge. Wife wouldn’t ride up there because she’s afraid of heights. Finally got rid of it after the younger son almost ripped the barn door off with it because he didn’t raise the door all the way.

If you put a high rack in the bed of your UTV make sure and strap the bed down somehow and not solely rely on the factory latch’s. My friend didn’t and the bed opened up while they were in it dumping them out the back breaking his arm.

With that said I thought about getting one, but I only hunt one property where it would be appropriate, that same property it's easier to just jump on roof and glass from it. If I want to have someone high rack it, while I drove. I just have them stand up in the back. My best upgrades Elka shocks Curtis heater Cab Now if I won the lottery tomorrow id buy Curtis AC

I build one for my Kubota RTV and I use it quite often when I can get down into the river bottom, just too muddy this season. I designed it so it wasn't any taller than the roof of the seating area and can use the roof as a table top for putting rifle, binoculars, etc. I used one of the large pool noodles across the front cross bar for padding. I had a bench seat (from Cabela's) mounted facing backwards in the bed for additional sitting, so merely built a high rack frame and moved the bench seat up onto the fram for seating. I'll see if I can find a picture.

I built one about 6 months ago for my Can Am Defender with the help of my dad. Haven’t used it much this year, but starting next year I’m sure it’ll get used pretty regularly. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/01/full-49141-275216-6d9b863e_e3bc_4191_854c_1f2726538e98.jpeg)

I use mine a lot. Most friends (and I, when I can find a driver) like riding on it because of the view and it is quieter than in the cab.
Both driver and passenger must be aware of branches. I also have a high shooting rack that can deflect some, but you still gotta' watch out.
The brace between the two seats is good for tying a deer for the ride back to the cleaning table.
How else can you get a 2-seater Ranger to hold 4 comfortably? I've hauled 5 guys with 3 in the seat and 2 up high.
It's the most versatile attachment I've put on my Ranger.
