I came across this and I thought someone might use the concept for a new bench. I think I’m going to use the basic concept but use different shelving above and below the bench.

The butcher block counter tops is what I used to build mine. I remodeled my kitchen and reused the lowers in my shop. the tops are great though not cheap.

I would suggest to make sure the height is correct. I'm only 5' 10" but kitchen height is too low for me.
