I think I’ve narrowed the brake decision down to the Hellfire or Sidewinder. I like the easy timing and hand install without crush washers. My barrel is .962 at the muzzle so matching it is not going to happen. Slightly larger is better than smaller in my opinion so it will protect the shoulder of the barrel.

The hellfire claims 50%+ recoil reduction with the sidewinder being a little better at the expense of length with 4 ports instead of three.

$30 difference, 1.1” vs 1.275”, 2.6” vs 3.35”, etc

Any input is welcome. Will be buying today though.

The 4 baffle will have more recoil reduction than the 3 baffle design. Go big!

Test Results-- APA Lil Bastard wins
https://precisionrifleblog.com/2015/08/21/muzzle-brake-summary-of-field-test-results/

But the 419 is popular as well
https://precisionrifleblog.com/2019/02/02/best-suppressor/

I ran a Lil Bastard on my 7RUM and it was loud but fantastic to shoot.

Best I've seen is Ryan Pierce's 5 port self timed brake--300wm didn't come off the paper at 100 with it--

http://www.piercisionrifles.com/5-port-self-timing-muscle-brake-30-cal-5-8x24-threads/

It looks slick when its color matched to the rifle-- the OD is nice and appealing and should fit your barrel contour.

Then the one in the middle.

It'll make a 7mm-08 a kitten for recoil. Little more trim than the 4 port.

Had you said anything with the word "Magnum" in it, I would have recommended the 4 port.
