I remember shaking Kyle Carpenter's hand in Afghanistan. I could feel the bones in his hand. There was simply a lot of meat missing from his hand... just skin grafts covering the bones and tendons.

It is really something to listen to them. Even after all he has been through and all the damage to his body and head trauma. He still carries himself like that, and speaks so well, and seems so humble.

The new National Medal of Honor museum just opened in Arlington on the 23rd. Worth a visit to honor the great sacrifices that were made for our freedom. The wife and I plus the kiddos plan on going there asap
