Updated regs and quota proposals are out for this year.
Some changes to elk and check out pronghorn, some added tags.

Didn't take time to compare sheep and moose regs from last year but they made some adjustments it looks like.

And they have proposed shortening our deer season in the ranch area and a couple of other areas.

Here is the link to the proposals: https://wgfd.wyo.gov/get-involved/public-meetings

Be sure to click the updated draft regulations link.

After looking them over some noticeable changes to elk.
South General Region has some areas with a week long cow only season now after the General season for any elk.
Area 7 has significant changes to archery hunting and Type 1 and Type 2 licenses.

Nice bump in some pronghorn licenses and doe tags as well.

Deer are still not doing well but some areas do have positives, better fawn recruitment and buck/doe ratios.

I dont know much about Wyoming except I just started the Joe Pickett Game Warden book series. Now if I could pair that with staying in a Holiday Inn Express then maybe I could post something worthwhile.........
I do enjoy your posts.

Good year to come shoot a cow elk, or bull.
That one well known area will be a zoo for archery hunting though I bet.

More tags for antelope too in many areas.

I just realized that the archery hunt was going to be an option for the 2nd type. Bummer. I thought it was going to be rifle only with the 1st type having the archery season. Guess it's not tempting.

Yeah that may catch a few off guard.
You do get Nov rifle with that Type 2 but bulls may be harder to find in Nov on accessible lands.

I'd rather have the nov rifle tag. There's bulls on public, just in places few want to go, or more importantly come out of

Yep ,there is some cool country up on near mountain. We've only wandered around there for my sheep tag.

Hope to see some big bulls come out this year since they took the 5 pt restriction off.

Thanks for posting. I'm trying to draw a Region E tag for Elk. Looks like the proposed quota went from 600-1000. That should help my chances of drawing.
