Few months ago my 5 year old and I were at the lease. We managed to kill a squirrel. So I taught him how to skin it, gave him an anatomy lesson, and then showed him how to set both a leg hold trap and a snare trap. Despite my best efforts over the years, I’ve never snared a coyote. This pasture poodle got both, the snare and the foot hold. I don’t usually leave traps set if I’m not there, but we had to make a hasty exit and I flat out forgot about it as I saw all my other traps packed up. I am happy too. I hate coyotes. I love them. Coyote hunting/trapping is my passion. It’s the main reason I keep the deer lease I have.
