Took off to Fowlerton with a hundred bags of feed and 20 T-posts. It turned into one of the longest drives down there. S.A. traffic sucks and somes people are really stoopid. Got to camp, turned on the A/C & water heater and then ventured around back to turn on the water which resulted in my own geyser right after the cut off. Turned it back off and then went and turned the cut off at the feed to my trailer and Klappenbachs. Found the parts needed in a storage building, went over and cut out the bad spot which had to include the shut off only to find out the parts were not the size I needed. Looked at watch and saw 5:12 and knew that I had just opened a line which fed two trailers meaning ol' Klap wouldn't have any water either. Frantically called Cotulla Ace Hardware and found out they closed at 6. With no further delays, rushed over there and bought everything in duplicate. Got back and fixed it. What a way to start my peaceful, relaxing weekend.
Klappenbach got there at 8AM the next morning and I had already gotten rid of 40 bags. He helped me with what remained and then we set about putting up a new pen. That spot had two pens already with one of them never producing. The plan was build a new one in a different spot and take down the old one. Klappenbach had been on me for several seasons to get this done and it did come out nice.

Klappenbach left early the next morning and I still needed to dismantle the old pen. We had already removed the old panels to use on the new pen. Getting out the T-posts was made possible with a puller and the 6 inch cedar corner posts came out pretty easily with the use of my front end winch. Even so and after getting some other things done, I slept pretty well Sunday night. Everybody found sheds around their pens except me. Told them there aren't any bucks in the "Promised Land". It's March and all cottonseed and protein feeders are full. It's not gonna matter much what we feed if we don't get any rain - it's uber dry down there.
