Looking for a professional ear cleaner…

Had small bug get trapped in there years ago and I think it got mummified in there.

Thinking it’d be a good idea to have someone dig out the old stuff and get a clean slate.

I get it done once or twice a year. I don’t think it helps with hearing better, May actually contribute to hearing loss because that suction is so damn loud, but it does stop an annoying itching.

Try Debrox before going to the ENT.

Yes the VA does mine. I hate going and put it off until I can hear very well (I got bad wax) even using an ear wash I still have to get a plug pulled out every two years or so.

Is this really a thing? Like y'all have so much ear wax that it gets plugged up? You're trolling, right?

Just don't mix up the Visine with the Debrox - can be a painful lesson.

Only time I had it done was with fluid behind my ear drum. They couldn't it to drain with medication, so in I went to have the ear drum cut open and the fluid removed. Was such a pleasant experience.

I use hydrogen peroxide and warm water about once a month, keeps my ears cleaned out pretty well.

When I was a kid, I had a tick inside my ear that was lodged next to my ear drum and I had to be put under to have the ENT remove it.

My dr does mine with a waterpik when I go for bloodwork.

Not terrible. I found I have had more issues since wearing earbuds/plugs shooting sporting clays more than I have in the past.

I had a blockage once and went to an ear doctor.

She flushed my ears with water and a machine that was essentially a strong water pic.

It was impressive!

You'd all be shocked at what comes out.

My brother had a candle bug (moth) take up residency in his ear one night just before we were going to hit the sack. He started going wild and wanting it out. Couldn't understand what the heck was wrong with him until he finally calmed down. Got some tweezers and was able to dislodge it from his ear canal. Candle bug looked about the size of a small hummingbird. Never did figure out if it was just in his ear canal or had climbed further in and was flying around the interior of his head. He never was too sharp. Wouldn't doubt his brain capacity was lacking, especially back in those days.

get a showerhead with a "pulse" setting.

about ten seconds in each ear every other day will take care of it long term

Never had them cleaned out professionally. I do use Q Tips to clean them almost daily after showering. You would be amazed how much stuff gets in them when you`re shredding or using a riding mower.

don't ever tell an ENT that. that's the worst thing to use.
