Ok I'll admit I'm a little behind the times but this is ridiculous.

Was driving home yesterday and saw on the Choctaw Casino marquee that Reba was coming on March 7th.
Got home and looked up tickets, I'm glad I was sitting down because they start at $500 to North of $800.00 per PERSON.
Ain't no way in H*ll I'd pay that for any concert, it's almost shameful.

Yeah but you never know what other Country Artists will show up to perform with her. Maybe you could get lucky and Beyoncé or Shaboozey would show up and join her for a few duets.

No way, I would have to get paid to go to a concert or on a cruise.
And it wouldn’t be cheap.

Haven`t been to a concert since seeing Steve Wariner in the early 90`s. Garth Brooks was opening for him, and I had never heard of him at the time.

I can just barely stand to listen to anyone on my radio for free. I have never understood the concert attraction.

I just paid good money to get tickets for George Strait in June. Happy to do it also.

I saw VanHalen, ZZ Top, Judas Priest , and a Bunch of others for $7.50 in the seventies and 80’s . Thought that was a lot of money then. George and The Ace in the Hole band played Pat’s Hall once a month for about $3 bucks a head .

We all did. But that was 45 years ago

Concerts are very expensive.

We see a lot of local talent that is great for much less.

Almost everyone we like to see, swims through Billy Bob’s once a year, so we are there a lot. Interspersed with the Longhorn Ballroom, Granada , and Tannahill’s….tickets are reasonable….the big venues…not anymore.

I got 2 tickets for AC/DC in Dallas in April a few months ago. Now of days you get online and wait in line online, it was almost one hour before I got my que to buy.

I got 2 tickets, good seats not great, and out the door was like $550 and that was buying direct, I think they are only doing like 14 shows in North America so that might be the reason, and last tour in USA was almost 10 years ago.

I remember paying $6.50 in the late 70's to sit on the 2nd row and watch an awesome performance by REO Speedwagon.

They are having the 60th ACA Country Music Awards in Frisco again this year, Tickets are cheaper and think she is there.

Choctaw is the best local venue to see a show. Good concerts cost good money. The $10-20 shows are done with.

I saw some for $177 per ticket, of course it was nosebleed. I was shocked it wasn't already sold out.

I saw Sammy Hagar at Winstar a few years ago, There was a guy on TFF called Frank I, he passed from cancer recently, but he got me 4 tickets, 2nd Row and middle for free, he asked me if I needed free rooms for the night as well.

He said he got them comped since his wife spent a lot of time up there, he wouldn't take cash from me.

I think them Casino comps some of their high roller or loyal customers.

Paid over $350/ea for Billy Joel/Sting in San Antonio last October. Was an amazing show, though, and the wife really wanted to go.

My lineup this Spring….

Robert Earl Keen at Bass Hall
Cody Canada and the Departed at Billy Bob’s
Shane Smith and the Saints at Billy Bob’s
Blackberry Smoke at the Majestic
Reckless Kelly at Billy Bob’s

All tickets were between 35 and 100 bucks.

We used to go to TSO every year, but skipped the past couple of years because it was too expensive and it was basically the exact same show every year (down to the ad libing between songs). There have been a fair number of shows I've wanted to go to over the past 10 years, but once ticket prices went past $100 for upper level seats, we stopped going. The last show we went to was Dragon Force. They played a small venue and there may have been at most 500 people in the building. I think tickets were sub $50 for general admission. The only downside there was the fact that the show started around 7PM, had like 4 opening acts and a kid OD'd between two of the opening acts and had to be given Narcan before they wheeled him out on a stretcher. DF didn't go on stage till almost 11 and to their credit, played their entire set. So it was realllllllllyyyyy late before we got out of the concert.

Thanks,
Rich

Bought these tickets last week. I paid about 130 a ticket. The ticket vendors have them listed over 250 a ticket. We go to a few concerts a year. Last year took the wife to see George Strait and Lainey Wilson.
