Throughout my professional career, I have had to do simple email weekly status reports just like Musk asked for. Few bullets what you did to your boss, your boss rolls it up and send to his boss...
The ones that are working will be more than happy for the opportunity to toot their horn, the fraudster will cry about it. No doubt there are many that do absolutely nothing, just collect a check, and don't even go to the office.
All of corporate America is "back to the office", my company we all complained about it at first, but now, because of Trump, no one is complaining, everyone is embracing it.

Before I retired, for OT, we had to send a weekly report detailing our activities. No biggie. Some were denied OT because they were slackers.
I always kept a daily record of cases completed. Still have hundreds of the sticky notes in my desk from work. I could tell you how many, and what kind of cases I worked any week from the last 15 years.

I do the same, I keep a complete log of everything I do, my boss does not ask for it, but I keep it anyway.

Nowadays, computers tend to fire people. Employees enter everything they do into a computer program RE; Salesforce. The computer then spits out a progress report which tells management if said employee is doing his job. If they are not, then management has a paper trail to fire employee without the chance of a lawsuit for wrongful termination. This takes all human interaction and emotion out of it. Politically correct.

1. Attended training on some new software
2. Worked on an interface between the new software and our existing EHR
3. Built virtual server for new software in VMWare environmant
4. Setup accounts for a bunch of new users
5. Setup e-prescribe accounts for a couple of new doctors
That was most of my Monday and Tuesday last week. There were a bunch of other minor random things like conference calls, meetings, a few desktop support issues that I resolved, etc.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

I have a weekly meeting with our entire team. I look forward to it. Our boss goes around the screen and asks each one of us what we did last week. Been doing it for years. Our group is small. One in Ca, two in Mi, one in Ms, one in Il and two in Texas. We see each other in person every other year or so. Anyone that works from home and complains about having to report on their activity is an idiot.

All of corporate America is "back to the office", my company we all have complained about, but now, because of Trump, no one is complaining, they are embracing it. I work in a small office environment (14 people) we have a staff meeting every Monday morning from 8:15-9:00. I figured if we did this, this was the norm for everyone. We also have to do procurement on every penny we spend, go to home depot and buy one screw and you have to have 3 bids on it and do the paperwork to submit to fiscal department. Also thought this was the norm, obviously not if DOD can lose billions and just shrug their shoulders. 1. Have done 2 demos on PEN Testing this week. Crazy how much these cost, got quoted $95K for one of them and it is basically just a internal network vulnerability scanner tool. 2. Contact several builders to get quotes on a build out for one of our offices, only bid I've gotten back so far a guy from the THF, which I've had for a couple of months now. Can't get any of the other people I've contacted to get back with me and we can't move forward without at least 2 bids due to cost we can't sole source it. 3. Created a SharePoint site and imported hundreds of documents for our fiscal auditors that are here this week. 4. Visited our Gainesville location and completed some tech tickets and fixed some facility issues like shimming the bathroom door so that the strike plate lined up again. 5. In process of doing procurement for switching over from Microsoft 365 commercial tenants to GCC government tenant which are FEDRAMP and TXRAMP certified and doing same procurement for our Zoom licenses

When I was a national sales manager for a small electronics manufacturer, I had all my field reps send me a very brief activity report. I wanted broad brush strokes, ordered by the most time-consuming tasks/events on top. This helped me see patterns of where they needed more support. It proved to be a valuable tool.

I bet there are some fed workers doing the same. With the work from home thing from COVID, a ton of people moved away from the office to live in resorts....Now with back to office, they are having to relocate back to office if they want to keep their job.

For my entire career, I’ve either had weekly reports, weekly one-on-one meetings with my boss, or both. If I can’t explain what I did in a week, then something is way wrong.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

Those of you that do weekly reports, what details are required? I’d like to implement a weekly to my team

Managers know who their most productive employees are. Give the manager a target for reduction and let them tell you who to cut. This is how major corporations have been implementing reductions for at least 40 years. This simple workforce reduction has been turned into a complete and total CF.

This is how major corporations have been implementing reductions for at least 40 years. This simple workforce reduction has been turned into a complete and total CF. Major corporations are way more efficient than the government, because they have to stay competitive. The government is a CF. Finally, we have someone that is going to clean it up. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-2250-446496-trump.jpg)

Weekly reports, meetings, yada, yada, yada. ALL these are just busy Its all about results. When I was a sales manager, I like y'all had my weekly one on one progress meetings with my salespeople. My comments were how long am I going to hear the same things week after week with no sales growth?
