Terrible design. Great for hanging up on obstacles off road
I swear, trucks keep getting gheyer and gheyer.

Don't tell me you're looking at trucks again.

yep!
I hate that now days every truck is lower in the front, even saw a brand new 3/4 ton 4x4 Tremor like that. Trucks are made for the paved streets now with their tiny over boosted motors and soft suspensions...

Thought you were driving a 24 Diesel HD AT4X which IMO is the opposite of Ghey.

There's alot of rigs that get wheeled hard offroad that are spring under. A Tacoma will be just fine that way. Especially since about 0.0000001% of them will see anything harder than a fire road.

Thought you were driving a 24 Diesel HD AT4X which IMO is the opposite of Ghey. Nothing Ghey about that rig. Just wanting a 2nd vehicle to run about. I love the diesel but I don’t want to drive a 3/4 ton diesel truck to run up the road or on some of these tight properties. Scratched the chit outta it the other day one a road that was too narrow

This year I spent a week in ZR2 and Tacoma hunting, ZR2 is a more comfortable vehicle off road and is cheaper than Tacoma. With that said I haven’t been in TRD pro, just off-road. I going to drive ranger raptor next, but so far the zR2 was surprisingly comfortable, not sure about that 2.7 engine though.

I do like how you can still get a manual with the Tacoma. Not many trucks you get that with today.

Was a real nice camping rig that went anywhere with the 3" lift and 33" tires I had on it. Lasted a very long time!

I am not crazy about the new GX nor the LandCruiser interior...would really like to put my hands on a new 4runner but I haven't paid MSRP for a vehicle and won't start now, so they are off the list for the time being. I do like what I've seen of the redesign though.

Are the 4Runners all 2.4L Turbo now? V-6 option gone?

Always wanted one since I drove my aunts as a kid. 120,000 miles and figure it will last me a long time. And I can drive it hunting rather than haul it hunting behind my 250. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-16963-446354-img_8184.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-16963-446355-img_8628.jpeg)

If not, how will you know ahead of time if the property is too narrow to drive the 3/4 ton? I showed a house in Dallas, steers wide open, but we had to access to house from the alley and there was no way to walk around from the front due to locked gates. The alley couldn’t be ridden on an ATV without being slapped by every branch. But in all reality, spring over axle is fine for 95% of the owners of a vehicle. Go look at every truck out there and you’ll notice the shock bracket hanging down below the axle and we’ve been getting by just fine.
