That’s a great scope, but I don’t think it’s German glass. Zeiss had those made on contract I think. Maybe Meopta? Maybe I made all that up. Carry on.

If I were looking at a $1k budget for a plain set it and forget it scope, I would pick a Swarovski Z3 3-10x42 or 4-12x50.
