My blue heeler is not mean at all....until ups or amazon or fed ex show up. She will bark at any vehicle that pulls up besides mine, wife, and kids, but when one of the 3 delivery trucks pull up, she goes straight into kill mode. She just put the amazon guy back in his truck really quick and the wife had to go hold her so he could go put the package on the porch and take his picture. Their policy won't let them hand us the package and roll on. What drives this dog into crazy mode with these delivery guys???

Blue Heeler gonna Blue Heeler. It is HER yard. I'm not getting put with a Bkue Heeler telling me not to. They are the walking definition of the size of the fight in the dog!

My German Shepherd alert barks at cars 400 yards away. If a car or truck pulls in the driveway from the county road, the severity of the barking ramps up. If someone is coming to visit, all the dogs are surrounding the vehicle and barking. No one is sneaking up on me.

You can’t beat a German Shepherd. This heeler thinks she’s the baddest shepherd there ever was.

Our UPS driver is SMART. Our 75 lb. Sheperd/Malinois loves him! He comes with a pocket full of treats. We live VERY rurally. He see a lot of very protective dogs.

We had a UPS driver like that. My Blue Lacy went through a depressive state when he got transferred. crying

My first dog growing up was a lab rescue. Didn’t chase after cars, but anytime a UPS or FedEx truck drove by, he would chase it down the street, usually past the point that we could still see him. He got run over by two of them while we had him. I think he was around 2 when we adopted him, so no telling what happened to cause delivery trucks to trigger his reaction.

Fed Ex and UPS drivers love being bit. Automatic time off with pay AND your lil' Fido then goes on the aggressive dog - dog bite list.

Growing up I had a buddy that had a black lab that hated the UPS man whenever he would show up she would go crazy. One day the UPS man made it out of the truck without her knowing he showed up and when she saw the truck she went crazy. That was when we realized it was the truck and not the driver. We never knew why she was that way and I think it was only UPS not the USPS or any other.

Amazon, Ups, Fedex, mail man, garbage truck, they all get barked at. I call her off she still barks at them. We have a box at the end of the long drive and the electric dog fence stops her short of getting to the delivery guy. Better than having someone sneak on my property I guess.

They seem to hate anyone that comes near THEIR yard - of course they'd love them to death if they actually got out of their kennel.

And they'll sue for the homeowners insurance payout.

Yeah, it’s normal. These two sit and wait for ANYTHING to come into view. Dang leaf blows across the yard wrong and all hell breaks loose.

Getting to visit a lot of rural, farm & ranch properties, I used to religiously wear my chips. Now I just take a stick.

Ours go crazy when either one of us answer the phone. The ringer can be on silent but as soon as that phone goes to our ear all hell breaks loose.

This one is guilty as charged. Pizza guy never stands a chance either. I have to step outside to receive the goods.

My dogs really loved my neighbor. He was a weekend resident. The dogs would hear his truck on Friday afternoon or Satuday morning when he turned onto our road. The dogs would run and meet him at his gate. They knew the sound of his truck as they couldn't see the road from the house. They'd spend the weekend days with him while he worked outside then come back to my house to sleep. They'd go back the next morning. Treats and belly rubs and they loved him.

I know, I know. And somebody who might give a belly rub or two. It’s a female so she’s all bark and no bite unless danger is sensed. Shes been known to wedge herself between other dogs and my wife. And actually took a bite once. Love that trait for sure. Top breed for me and my Fam. We have an Aussie as well so the house is always jumping.
