I bought a silencerco omega 45k last week at a local shop that has the kiosk.
Certified the documents today so the atf wait started at about 10 am this morning.

I did a efile, individual.

Last time it was 4 days from certification. I’m curious if this go around takes longer?!?

My last one on a trust was 28 days. Much better than the year of the one prior.

If 4 days is the bet, I’ll take the over. But still under a week.

Got approved yesterday evening, hope to pick it up one day this week. This one took 3 weeks.

They had a rugged obsidian 9 there and I almost bought that because you can run 308 through it supposedly. It’s a bit skinnier than the one I got but I wanted to have the ability to do 45’s down.

Already got 30 cal down rifle covered..

YHM makes a nice one for 9mm also

I bought mine I think Feb 12 or 13th and waited till the 21st to get the compliance team to do whatever they do and certified them on the 21st. Kinda weird how long this one’s taking my first was 9 days from certification of the documents.

Well hopefully I’m down to last week of wait!. The guys at the shop said they been seeing about 3-4 weeks pretty regularly. So I guess I was lucky last go around.

Update, got a call this morning to come and get it so I’m at what 16 days wait.. 3 weeks total time from purchase to clear to pick up.

Appreciate the heads up and mini lessons. Another question though.....it comes with the 3" reflex for bull barrel. I know I can send it back to AB unshot and get the regular barrel version. Will the regular barrel reflex be any quiter/tone than the bull barrel version?

My can had to go back to the mothership.. had a chip in the threads and completely locked up the piston plug.. had to put a wrench on it and the plug came out with no threads. Plug is anodized aluminum, threads are steel. Pretty much disappointed in this thing overall.

Silencerco and the rma process is a bit slow, they say a week turn around time. We shall see.

Not sure because I’ve only used the reflex it came with. You can take reflex off and do direct thread. I would assume the tone would be lower with smaller profile reflex due to being more volume. I’d call AB and just ask.
