I stopped watching when all the Bubbagate crap started around the same time I cut the cord NASCAR died when Dale died I have to agree here. Similar to MJ retiring.

I quit watching it about halfway through, but I did record it. It’s a bit like pro basketball, in that nothing much happens till right at the end. But I don’t record any basketball. Ever…

logano is a prick, no drivin mf. I though the same thing. He tried to justify his driving right after the wreck. He was trying to put 10 pounds of potatoes in a 5-pound sack.

Looked like a bad block to me. They knew Lagano was going to win if he got through that.

Should cull a few cars after each stage, "thin the herd"

Jimmy Johnson finished 3rd. I was surprised to see him still racing!
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

Not a big NASCAR fan, but the Air Force 1 flyover and the Presidential limo as the pace car was beyond cool!

I have about lost interest in NASCAR since all the drivers I used to follow have retired. I still watch Daytona and Talledaga. Like everybody else I just watch for the wrecks. Even my wife was amazed by this year’s “big one”.
Honestly, the restrictor plate races and the huge wrecks that always happen are a clear example of what happens in life when everybody gets a trophy. In the past, the teams with the best mechanics, crew chiefs, and drivers would squeeze more horsepower out of the same engines and at the end of the race there would only be a handful of cars in contention. Cars would be spread out with only a few on the lead lap. But there would almost never be a wreck except for the restarts after a caution flag.
Now, we have restrictor plates. The whole purpose of the restrictor plates is for all cars to put out the same horsepower aka everybody is equal. That keeps the field together with the cars of the better crews forced to be at the same level as the mediocre teams. It is usually one of the mediocre teams that causes the “big one” or a hot shot driver that momentarily acts like a fool.
Just my 2 cents Big Hutch

You've heard it a million times but I stopped watching when you couldn't buy the car/engine displacement Monday after it raced on Sunday. I think that was right after the time I quit setting up my AFX and Tyco slot car tracks as a kid watching the races.

I don’t watch like I used to. Not a fan of restrictor plate racing and feel like it’s possibly more dangerous leaving them all in a pack all race long. Let them breathe and let’s see what these modern day cars can really do. I suspect no better than the winged beasts of ‘69-70.
I like Hendricks's cars and they got 1st and 3rd. Solid start for the season. Shook Jimmie’s hand once at TMS. And have seen Gordon win at Kansas and TMS. Say what you want about him, he could drive and wasn’t a “Richard” on the track.
I do miss the old days. In the late ‘90s I knew every driver’s name by the sponsor and car #. Drank a lot of Coors Light when Sterling drove for them.
