good luck! whats your starting weight? Goal? Buzz, i'm sitting at 301lbs now, 240 to 245 is when i felt my best going to the gym 3 or 4 nights a week. Goal is to get around the 230 range. You seem to be doing good on your journey.

Post quintuple by pass surgery 10/2020 just stuck at weight 220 range and a little high BP. Cardiologist suggested the weight loss wonder drugs. Tested and not borderline diabetic so Ozempic not an option. Insurance approved Munjaro or Wegovy but still wanted aprox $531 per month (4 wk dose) from me out of pocket. I called dr and was told let them check with a compounding pharmacy which ins. not pay. Compounding pharmacy is $150 (4 wk dose with syringes) delivered to my door and there was not a price increase at my dose increase. Started 11/18 at 217lb. with compounded Tarazepide at .15 and after 4 weeks increased to .30. My dr said wants to take slow lower dosing path.
I load and inject myself (no big deal) Down 20#, belly/love handles disappearing, no appetite and really no cravings but no other side effects. Made it through Thanksgiving and Christmas no problem barely eating and forcing protein shakes intake along with about 60oz water with added protein power daily. Jeans 36 to now 33.
Going to get back on my 4 mile 5-6x week walking and start some light weights. Walking I can do but never been good at the weights but I'm getting motivated.
Goal weight 180 but will be extremely pleased to maintain around 185. Holding off on clothing but may start picking up some after season new hunting wear.

Down 16lbs in 21 days with no workouts, gym, etc. Really suppressed the desire to eat, have to force it at times. Finished the 0.8 shots and moving to 1.2 next week.

I’m curious, what was your BMI before and now? Lots of people that are loosing weight rapidly with these drugs are loosing a lot of muscle. I never have a desire to eat, if I don’t pay attention I’ll go 36 hours without a food, which happens more than I care to admit. Weekends are better as I’m around the wife and kids and eat when they eat, but during the week at work I just don’t think about it.

The peptide rabbit hole is interesting, but I’ve taken IPA/cjc-1295 and BPC-157 post surgery to help stop atrophy(and it works). Those are also used to stop muscle loss with the weight loss peptides, well BPC 157 is more inflammation preventive/cure and regenerative but none the less

Started the shots in December when i hit 301lbs. I have done the peptides off and on for knee injuries, torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders, etc. Still take test shots every week. Going to the dr tomorrow for a regular 6 month checkup and blood work so will see what it looks like. I feel better now than last December.

BP, muscle loss is a big part of it for sure. My doctor suggests weight training more than cardio.

Approx 75 days and down 32lb. to 185 now. Appetite suppressed. Just start .60. All my jeans and T shirts are hanging on me. Haven't been in 32 jeans and size L shirts in nearly 40 years. Drinking a couple protein shakes daily, light meal protein. Need to add some weight training now. No Regrets and No side affects.

Where does Medicare stand on this drug for strictly weight loss?

I don't know about Medicare but it was way cheaper for me to just pay RX out of pocket than through insurance. My dr approved due to blood pressure and prior heart disease surgery. By blood test do not reach close to diabetese so Ozempic not an option.

the pressure is building on Medicare for it to be covered. Its apparent, the government wants us oldies dead. I'm trying to find out if I can use it for a tax deduction.
On a more positive note, I weighed 210 this morning. Down 90lbs. The shot still works but not as good as it did when I started. Maybe my mind set has lightened up a bit. I'm spreading my foods around a bit, more carbs. I do get full VERY fast and cant eat for an hour or so.
Sunday should be fun with tables full of all the bad (good) foods. I'll eat whatever I want though.
Still no need/want for alcohol.
