Live oaks. I have done my best to rid the place of mesquites. In the thick woods I will occasionally find one though.

Thanks. It looks fairly small for an oak. Closets thing we have to that would be post oaks, but they can get really big here. I like the small compact size of the live oaks there. At least they look small. We're just covered in 100'+ tall pines. I can't stand them.

Your place looks good. I have a long ways to go with my place.

I just set goals for each day. When I started it was just a chainsaw cutting roads. I was happy with 20 yards a day in some thick places. It adds up after some time. I would love to have a bulldozer but one in good shape or new is some big coin.

I here ya about the big equipment. My skid steer comes in handy that's for sure. Only problem is its down time for repairs exceeds its uptime in work, by a lot. And they are NOT easy to work on. bang

And it doesn't help when New Holland has a lock on the diagnostic software. Diagnosing can be a real nightmare. realmad

In the end of days, walk with a Bible in one hand and a pistol in the other.

I'm not ready to die, but I'm prepared to die.
