I cant see it effecting me much. Only thing if I needed a Ford or Ram truck it would. I bought a Samsung TV 4 years ago its been awesome. Samsung made in south korea.
Lumber… i live in north idaho everything we have is our own lumber here from local F250 Kentucky, now parts who knows. I think this is hilarious, I see dems melting down over tariffs, you think they will ever realize that via NAFTA we built Mexico and large part of Canada’s economy. Think they will ever realize that we built china’s economy, investors made billions off child labor… and yet they root for China and Mexico. It’s funny You can’t get into Canada with a DUI but they refuse to protect our boarders like we do theirs.

I'm willing to pay more for Made in the USA, no problem. Me too, when available. It is a sad affair we have been in for a long time. Some products are not available as U.S. Made. There was a time the U.S. lead the world in manufacturing high quality products. I would love to see us in that situation again. I use lots of U.S. made tools and instruments, every day, that my Grandad bought in the 50's and 60's .

. It will hurt in more obscure ways than one can think of just like how the last round with China 5-6 years ago really hurt mid-west grain and corn farmers, so much so Trump ratcheted down after a few months. Anyone seeing no impact isn't looking hard enough For sure, will be interesting... I remember deer corn went to $12 and higher; it's now $7.25 to $7.50- protein went to $19.00 to $20.00. This a 40% increase in something that is nonessential. Let's be truthful here, deer hunting is a luxury, not an essential. With the money I spend on the deer lease alone, I could feed the family ribeye steaks every night. The essentials- mainly groceries- went up also. People on fixed incomes absolutely cannot afford this, especially after biden's catastrophes with the economy. My problem with this for now is will this truly help our economy or not? If it doesn't affect you in any way, I truly feel for you that is great, but I honestly don't think the rest of America can handle it! I truly hope it works.

The Tariffs IMO are short term pain for long term gain for the U.S.
Energy prices will probably hit us the hardest since the U.S imports over 4 million barrels of oil daily from Canada and the U.S produces around 13 million barrels a day. There is also the trickle down effect of everything associated with oil/energy.
Hopefully when "Drill Baby Drill" comes to fruition energy prices and everything else associated with it will come back down to pre 2020 year pricing.
Have not heard anything about the Keystone pipeline getting restarted?

Anyone seeing no impact isn't looking hard enough For sure, will be interesting... It didn’t hurt farmers unless you were all in on soybeans. which we export something like 70% of our soybeans to china. Those farmers ended up subsidized anyway. Any farmer knows diversity is the way. If you aren’t, you are basically a specialized and beholden to market, like rice etc. China has been able to hit the grain markets temporarily in past some with negative news. Example they said they would no longer buy any U.S. corn as it was GMO, price dropped .30 a bushel and they started buying again. With Ukraine’s production down, China is beholden to US and South America. If Corn followed inflation since 1960 we would be over $11 a bushel

There isn't a Trade 'War' going on as the media likes to portray it. Trump is simply trying to correct a trade 'deficit' that has been present for years. It makes good business sense.

It should help beef cattle producers. Canada labels their home raised beef, but would not allow the US to do the same.
We had mandatory country of origin labeling until Canada and Mexico cried foul.
MCOOL was originally passed in the 2002 Farm Bill but then repealed in 2015 by Congress due to Canada and Mexico filing disputes with the World Trade Organization. The US caved.
They were afraid that Americans would buy American.

It’s more complicated but that’s a broad over view with out middle monopolies price fixing and controlling news cycles. Now what will hurt farmers is the 6billion in Fertilizer we buy from Canada, I’m sure Russia is smiling as they are next inline. If we are going to sanction Russia or threat for a peace talk in Ukraine we need to get Mexico and Canada on board quick

They know they were built by US investors and NAFTA. They produce over 1 million vehicles a year with 3/4 headed north. They don’t want to see US corps pulling out of Mexico like what happened in textile world after Trumps first term. A lot of Companies pulled out a big chunk of mfg from China and reinvested in Other Asian countries

All of this over securing a border...keep in mind Canada won't allow folks in with a DWI but have no issues letting anyone out that wants to walk across. It's like the government has gone mad up there. Sadly, lots of good folks up there but like many states down here the morons in the big cities are running the asylum.
