Decided on a 22 creed barrel, I see most are a 8 twist. Going to shoot 80 to 90s, depending on what I get the best results out of. Was curious if I should do a 7, or 7.5 over the 8 twist

The ideal twist if you plan to plan to run 80/90’s is 1/7.5 to get best BC numbers.
I have shot 90’s from my 1/8 and they shot fine but that wasn’t in cold weather.
I personally would never get a 1/7 because I like running 62’s and they are already frangible enough in a 1/8

80 and below 1:8
80+ I would do a 1:7.5 and if I had a hard time just drop to the 1:7
There is a reamer designed around the 90, I can’t recall the name of it but that would be my choice and just run 85-90’s
You can easily push them 3k be a pretty wicked 22.

I still need to work up a load with 63 gr SGKs in my rifle, which is 1:8 twist.

I've got a 16.5" in the mail that's 1/8. Excited to get it put together.

How fast do you think you can push those 63 gr smp’s. I think my Swift velocity with that bullet was 3300ish, which was shy of max. I used it on some pigs, but never deer hunted with it. I also used it in the 223, but don’t remember what MV. A good accurate bullet.

My 80.5 gr bullets are 3080 fps MV, out of a 16" barrel +suppressor. Judd's 20" barrel is 80.5 gr bullets, 3300 fps MV.

The 63's should be quite a bit faster.

The 80.5 gr bullets, I was thinking hogs. My newly acquired thermal is showing me no hogs (thank God) whitetail (leave them alone) coyotes, coons, skunks. A 63 gr SGK will kill those last three with no problems.

They will kill the first 2 as well.
