Lost Dog - Matador WMA

After 30 years of running dogs, I never thought I'd be in this situation with the development of GPS collars. Yesterday, I lost my female GSP while hunting at the Matador WMA.

She went missing around 10:30 a.m. in the East Aermotor pasture, near the Sisk Pen. Her GPS collar failed and lost connection with my Garmin Alpha 200i. I spent 7-8 hours searching and troubleshooting the tracker without success. Family and friends joined the search, but we couldn’t locate her.

She’s wearing a Garmin TT15 collar and her standard collar that has my name, phone number, and address. She’s never strayed like this before; she always checks back in, even when ranging far or in thicker cover.

If anyone is hunting or spending time in the area and spots her, please contact me immediately. She's very friendly and should come to you without issue.

Thank you for your help.

Prayers that you find your pup.

Earlier today she still hadn’t been found.

No updates since yesterday.
I think the guy was missing work looking for her, and couldn’t stay any longer.
It would be tough for me to leave a dog behind, with no answers.
I don’t judge other people’s decisions, maybe he really didn’t have a choice.

Maybe he could have someone check the register at the check in station to see if anyone else may have located his birddog or have any information.

Said the Rangers found her right where he lost her. I think it was around 8 days.

That is awesome

Tigger
If it isn't white it is not a birddog.

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.
