Some food for thought. tu finished the regular season ranked #3. While they played teams that were ranked at the time, at season's end they had no victory over a Top 25 team. Their highest ranked victory at regular season's end was over A&M and we all know Texas 8&4 was not a good team. There were 7 SEC teams in the Top 25 at end of the regular season, of those tu (being one of the 7) played only one(Georgia). Played Georgia twice losing both. Everything was pretty much aligned for them this year and they didn't get it done. Maybe next year.

He may very well do so, just not today. His parents are smart to keep him planted, these last two years have been huge for him. The physical maturity they offered makes a difference. He is also learning to read defensive schemes he had no clue even existed not long ago.

I hope he does well, he seems very well grounded and genuine good kid, but as of yesterday he is still a very unproven kid,

Well said and 100% accurate. Texas’ 2024 and 2025 schedule reminds me of the weak schedules Florida had many of the years they were SEC champions.

Honestly, Texas played only one perennial SEC powerhouse in their inaugural season and they lost to them twice. Of the teams that have been SEC Champions since 1990, the only team that Texas played is Florida and Florida hasn’t won the championship since 2008. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and Tennessee were all notably missing from their schedule.

It is no secret I believe that Arch Manning is a better quarterback than Ewers. Arch has a stronger arm, is a better runner, and has something to prove. But I think a 9-3 record is reasonable. Arch will have real growing pains running an offense on a team that is losing considerable talent.

For 2025, I believe the top 4 SEC teams will be Texas, LSU, Tennessee, and Georgia. I also think that the 2025 SEC champions may once again be a team with 2 losses.

Just my 2 cents.

kinda with Bobo on Arch. Just saw couple of flashes this year. Different story when Daddy Sark gives him the keys. for good.

Of course I'm hoping for a Heisman season from him.

Everything about him is "unproven" whereas most of the others on list have many starts under their belts. Any Heisman talk at this point is pointless, let him play the first 6 games next season and see where things stack up. Running 60-85 snaps a game is far different than beating the Roadrunners and Cajuns and playing a few Wildcat plays sparingly. He may materialize as something, maybe not, time will tell.
