I have seen a few over the years but they are mostly nocturnal. Here is one that occupied my deer stand a few years ago. They are not near as aggressive as alot of people make them out to be. Every encounter I have had with them went just about like the one in my video shows.

During the last WTBBC we actually had a coon in one of the travel trailers. We set dukes dog proof traps around the trailer and baited with Dunkin’ Donuts. At 7:00 in the morning I get a text that he caught a ringtail. I am beginning to think we will do better to start trapping versus trying to call them.

I would gladly trade a few hundred raccoons for a ringtail or two.
