They are for sale all over Facebook groups, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Gun Broker etc. They've even been on Amazon under some sketchy 3rd party sellers.

We'd spoken to at least 6-8 people who've bought them for pennies on the dollar (no mount included) and then when trying to buy the mount figure out that they have stolen property. I think most of the people we've talked to deep down knew it was too good to be true and probably hot but internally, they hoped they'd just never really know the truth. Then when they find out the truth they are pretty much out of luck. I'm not saying everyone knew beforehand but I could tell several of them suspected something wasn't right.

How is that keeping them from buying a mount?

AGM is refusing to sell mounts to anyone with a stolen optic and they are monitoring all dealer orders for mounts to ensure we aren't selling the mounts for stolen optics. The mounts are made by American Defense for AGM so American Defense do not sell them to the general public.

Essentially, if you can't buy a mount from AGM you can't use the scope and AGM has an extremely tight control on every spare mount after losing millions of dollars in this theft.

I am sure somebody is duct taping an AGM to old Betsy as we speak. grin

Yep, they are left with warranty-less spotting scopes.

I’m not arguing with you, but I bought a replacement mount from ADM a couple of months ago for a Rattler.

That's pretty clever, actually. Good for them!

Understood. Not sure if you bought the mount before the theft or before they stopped selling them or if they had you in their system as a legit scope owner or they just randomly sold it to you.ha! They are definitely doing their best to verify what optic the mount is being used for now. It was a smart plan.
