638 is my favorite farm carry gun. Light, small, doesn’t get in the way getting into pickups and tractors and utv’s and the like. Around here, the biggest thing I’m going to shoot is a coyote, so I’m not at all worried about the horsepower.
When I go to town I usually carry a g43x
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I don’t carry but have a pistol when I leave town. Generally a Judge. I’ve never had an issue with it. Excellent weapon.
Also have a small S&W 38 revolver that I seldom mess with. Actually have a bunch of short guns of different makes and calibers, some expensive, that never leave the safe.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley, Rancher Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP
