Like crocs and mesquite torns, bad combo, rubber holds the torn in your foot, until you find pillars

I wear tenneshoes more than ever now but I haven't hunted in them because of stickers. My old coyote hunting buddy used to wear some nike leather high top basketball shoes. Called them his tactical nikes

depends on the hunt/location..

for mountain type terrain (Idaho for elk, New Zealand for tahr, etc..etc..) Ive got a pair of Schnee Beartooth that have been outstanding boots.. My wife wears Crispi West Rivers in similar terrain and swears by them...

in Africa I wear a set of customs that were made by Al at James Leddy Boots over in Abeline.. there similar in design to Courteneys, but Al will make them specific to your foot and does a masterful job at a really good price..

here in TX I mostly hunt in the Piney Woods.. if its been particularly wet Ive got a set of muck boots I'll slip on.. otherwise I typically just wear an old pair of 511 boots that Ive had for the better part of 10 years.. they're starting to fall apart.. but the walk from the side by side to the blind isn't exactly far or hard lol.. so I keep wearing them.. smile

Muck Arctic Pro. Probs not a boot for Texas but they work in my world. Quite possibly better options out there but refuse to pay stupid money for boots - $150 on sale is my limit. Socks to me are as or more important than the boots. With the right socks i can be good in crocs in sub zero as long i don't get wet.

These are my goto:

https://thebuffalowoolco.com/collections/rtw-socks/products/trekker-boot-socks

Found them to be the best there is under 50$. If you want to drop $100+ a pair they can be beat but not worth it in my experience.

You want to spend stupid money on socks that will outperform anything than this is your huckleberry:

https://www.qiviuk.com/products/021471-corgi-man-and-woman-socks-qiviuk-merino-silk

Qiviuk wool is the warmest fiber on the planet and is collected by Innuit in the spring in the far north. It is the shed underfur/down of muskox.

First time I've ever seen financing offered on a pair of socks.

I wear the same Mucks in the cold, from Texas to Pennsylvania. They're about 20 years old and still work exceedingly well. I have thought about replacing them, but I've also seen that Muck quality has gone down over time as well. How do they hold up for you?
